Used for tripping by the uneducated and stupid; deliriants are highly dangerous drugs and should never be done recreationally. Under a state delirum reality and hallucination become completely indistinguishable, often youll entirely forget you even took anything. This combination of impared memory, delirium, and belief everything happening is 100% real leads to panic and comlete and total insanity.
Deliriant trips are less of trips and more of an all consuming nightmare psychosis. One of the most common hallucinations are infestations of bugs and spiders. Depending on what poison you pick a trip can last from hours to days, which those peroids of time feel even longer due to time dialation.
The danger doesnt just come from the delirium but theyre also deadly in high doses, and for many, such as benadryl, those high doses are nessesary for a trip to occur. They are high risk no reward.
Post trip its negative effects continue. Some continue to have hallucinations, this is known as Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Pisorder which is not unique to deliriants. The mental and psyhological toll can be extreme with recuperation taking weeks to years in some cases and some victims remain in a permanent psychosis.
Class: Deliriant
This plant will either kill you or make you wish you died. People say drugs send you to hell before you die, with datura this is true.
The source of its effects are its seeds which contain a diabolical cocktail of scopolomine, atropine, and hyoscyamine.
Scopolomine: AKA Hyoscine and Devil's Breath. Its classified as a anticholinergic, Deliriant, Antiemetic, and Amnestic. Symptoms of high doses include: Tachycardia,Arrhythmia,Blurred vision, light senstivity,Urinary retention, Drowsiness, hallucinations, abnormal breathing, Dry mouth, and Inhibition of gastrointestinal motility. As well as unconciousness, respritory failure and death. Its also famous for making those effected by it highly succeptible to suggestion and is known as a "mind control drug".
Atropine: classified as a anticholinergic. Symptoms of high doses include: Urinary retention, breathing problems, nausea, inhibition of sweat, blurred vision, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, and dry mouth.
Hyoscyamine: A tropane alkaloid. Effects include: hallucinations, anxiety, confusion, memory impairment, slurred speech, problems in balance and muscle movement, rapid heartbeat, diarrhea or constipation, insomnia, dry mouth, blurred vision, inhibition of sweat and urine.
A strange common hallucination is that people will find themselves smoking a cigarette and when they put it down it dissapears, which they try to find it to no avail. This hallucination even happens with people who have never smoked before. Some have hallucinated entire conversations with people only to look away and theyre gone.
Part of the reason why datura is so dangerous is the random dosage each seed contains. one person can consume 300 seeds and 'be fine' while another can eat 20 and die. There is no set amount of seeds that is 'safe'.
